It has been a serious and growing concern when it comes to the career counseling of students. Many institutes do offer great educational facilities but lack student grooming in terms of career counseling.

Career Counselling is perhaps the issue that needs to be addressed on a primary basis. Today many students lack the proper guidance about career counselling. They do follow the pursuits of their parents or elders and do not groom and improve their natural capabilities and skills. There should be proper guidance to students about career counseling from the start of their education. Numerous reasons are creating serious turmoil for students in the pursuit of their own choice of career.

Parents

Unfortunately, the role of parents has been negative regarding the counseling of their children. They advise their children to pursue the ready-made traditions of life and that’s where children go wrong. There have been very few parents who give full freedom and liberty to their children. Doctors and engineers are considered to be the superior in most of the societies and many of us follow the traditions blindly.

Institutes

Seriously the role of institutes has been to earn money through education in most developing countries. They do even not maintain a single class or lecture for students regarding career counseling and after that students find themselves in trouble. Many high school graduates join the programs of medicine and engineering and later on, realize their mistakes.

Tutors

Tutors are following the pursuit of institutional norms and do not guide children accordingly. They do focus on their relevant subject. Students do not focus on their career grooming. During schooling, we all have our most familiar interaction with tutors. So they know our traits pretty well and they are the ones who can guide us better.

Solution

Students need proper guidance from these three departments in the pursuit of their careers. The proper guidance from the start of their schooling can make them mature enough to choose their career. God has created each man differently and we all have different skills and capabilities. So it is better to understand the skills and traits of each student. There should be freedom to choose a career wisely.
